Steven D. Jaeger
is a founding member and partner of The Jaeger Firm, PLLC.


Steve was born and raised in Northern Kentucky and is active in his community.  Jaeger currently serves as a City Councilman in the City of Edgewood, Kentucky.  He also serves on the Board of Directors for OKI, Regional Council of Governments.  He is a member of the Kentucky League of Cities and the Municipal League of Northern Kentucky.  Jaeger was a past member of Northern Kentucky Legacy, where he served as a member of the Civic Engagement Committee and Co-Chair of the Community Legacy Committee.  Steve is currently a member of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. 

Jaeger received his Bachelor’s Degree in History and an Associate’s Degree in Political Science from Thomas More College, where he graduated summa cum laude.  Steve went on to earn his law degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law.  Steve was recently published in the Northern Kentucky Encyclopedia, where he authored several articles.

Steve is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of Ohio, the United States District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and Northern Kentucky Bar Association.

Steven R. Jaeger
is a partner of The Jaeger Firm, PLLC. 

Before his appointment and election to district court in 1987, Steven R. Jaeger was in private practice and served as an assistant county attorney. He was elected to a circuit judgeship in 1995, where he remained until 2007, and then continued to hear cases as a senior status judge from June, 2007 through September, 2010.  He served as Chief District Judge for two terms and as Chief Circuit Judge. 


From 1997 to 2001, Steve was a member of the Judicial Advisory Committee in the Governor’s Office of Child Abuse and Domestic Violence Services.  He was chair of the Statewide Court Technology Committee from 1998 through 2009.  He also chaired the Joint Workgroup of the Court of Justice, Kentucky Bar Association and Administrative Office of the Courts e-filing and e-processes initiative.  Steve has frequently volunteered his time to assist area schools in Mock Trial tournaments, where he has served as a Judge.  He also coached Knothole Baseball for 17 years and was a member of the Dixie Heights High School Band Boosters for 12 years, serving two terms as President.  He is currently a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Northern Kentucky Bar Association.

Steve graduated summa cum laude from Thomas More College before earning his JD from Salmon P. Chase College of Law. He was a frequent teacher at the Kentucky Court of Justice clerk and district/circuit/appellate judicial colleges. Previously he was an instructor at Xavier University.  He has taught at Beckfield College from 1986 to present, where he was appointed Interim Co-Chair of Paralegal Studies in 2002, and was appointed lead instructor in 2009.  Since January, 2006, Steve has taught Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy at Chase College of Law. 

He is currently licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky.
